Preview: The Lord calls people to service in different ways and for various reasons. We must be ready to respond to that call.


Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:14-30.

Memory Verse: I Corinthians 15:58.

1. To what work does Jesus call some? Matthew 4:17-23.
2. What did He say about the harvest and laborers? Matthew 9:36-38.
3. When will the end come? Matthew 24:14.
4. What special command did He give us? Matthew 28:19-20.
5. How urgent is God’s work? Luke 14:22-23.
6. What must one do in order to be a worker for Christ? Matthew 16:24.
7. What promise is held out to serious workers? Psalm 126:5-6.
8. How important is it that we answer the Gospel call? Ezekiel 33:7-19.
9. May we make our own choice whether or not we will preach the Gospel? Discuss. I Corinthians 9:16.
10. What arrangement did God make so all will have a part in religious work? Matthew 25:14-30.
Note: God calls certain ones to spend all their time in His vineyard, but not all can preach; still, He has something for each member of the body to do in order to save his own soul. The Apostle Paul told the Corinthian brethren to always abound in the work of the Lord. I Corinthians 15:58.
11. How may each have a part in spreading the Gospel even if he cannot go? II Corinthians 9:1-7.
12. How is it ordained for sinners to hear the Gospel? Romans 10:14-15.
13. Is a minister expected to go out on his own charges or may he expect wages for his work? Discuss. I Corinthians 9:7-11, I Corinthians 9:6-17.
14. What plan did God provide that His ministers may be cared for? I Corinthians 9:13-14, Numbers 18:21.
15. Did Paul take the glory to himself, or did he credit it to those who supported him when he won sinners to Christ? Philippians 4:14-17.
Note: Not everyone can preach or do personal missionary work, yet God has provided a way that each may have a part and not have to answer for the lost souls by paying tithes and offerings. Every branch that will not bear fruit is to be cast into fire and burned. John 15:1-6, Ezekiel 33:7-9.
