Preview: A lesson on how the brethren should settle dispute and discord among themselves and others.

Scripture Reading: Romans 14:1-10.

Memory Verse: John 7:24.

1. By what standard should we judge our fellowman? John 7:24.
2. What does the Bible say about taking your brethren to court? I Corinthians 6:1.
3. How great a matter should saints judge? I Corinthians 6:2.
4. What are we told about the judgment of angels? I Corinthians 6:3.
5. What are we told about passing judgment on the disobedient? I Corinthians 5:12.
6. What does an unbeliever represent? What should we do? I Corinthians 5:13.
7. Why should the Church have members capable to judge matters within the Church? I Corinthians 6:4-5.
8. Is it wise and saintly for the brethren to go to civil court? Why not? I Corinthians 6:6-8.
9. Righteous or unrighteous: Who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven? I Corinthians 6:9-10.
10. What does Paul say in regard to judging the brethren? Romans 14:13.
Note: There are two judgments mentioned in the Bible. One is the righteous judgment, and the other is condemning a brother or brethren. The latter is strictly forbidden, but very much practiced. Righteous judgment is a deciding between two or judging a matter in a righteous way without partiality. The pastor should be the referee or arbitrator, as he should know the directions of the Scriptures.
11. Who can command righteousness? Romans 3:5-6.
12. Why can't a lie glorify God? Romans 3:7-8.
Note: Paul stressed the thought that righteousness makes naked the lie. Without something genuine there is no counterfeit. Let us judge righteous judgments. We have made that authority.
