Scripture Reading: Matthew 5:27-32.
Memory Verse: Genesis 2:24.
1. Why is sexual purity a command from God? I Thessalonians 4:3-5, Colossians 3:5, Job 31:1.
2. What is the only sin direct against the sinner’s own body? I Corinthians 6:18
3. What does God say about temptation? I Corinthians 10:13, Romans 6:11-14, Matthew 5:30.
4. What is the purpose of temptation in regard to faith? James 1:2-4, James 1:12.
5. Why is marriage held in high regard by God? Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:21-25.
Note: Marriage is extremely important to God. In fact, the Bible begins with a marriage and ends with a marriage. The church itself is frequently compared to a bride with God as the bridegroom.
6. How does God view adultery? Proverbs 6:32, Exodus 20:14, Matthew 19:9.
7. What is the consequence of sexual immorality? Ephesians 5:5, I Corinthians 6:9.
8. How did Joseph respond to temptation? Genesis 39:7-12.

10. Why is sex, in the right context, a good thing? I Corinthians 7:1-5, Genesis 1:28.
Note: God only wants those within the bounds of marriage to have sex. He even commands it in certain contexts. Sex has been demonized throughout history, but it isn’t that sex is bad, but that sex isn’t good when committed in the wrong context.
