Scripture Reading: Genesis 32:13-23.

3. What was the blessing he received? Genesis 32:27-28.
4. How did Esau meet Jacob? Genesis 33:4.
Note: Twenty years’ time had changed the attitude of these brothers. Esau no longer desired to kill his brother, and Jacob (the supplanter) had been changed to Israel (soldier of God).
5. Did Jacob show preference to one of his sons? What did it cause? Genesis 37:3-4.
6. What did Joseph do that made things worse? Genesis 37:5-8.
7. Did he still add to what he had done? Genesis 37:9-11.
8. What was the reason Joseph went to his brethren? Genesis 37:12-17.
9. What did they do when they saw him coming? Genesis 37:18-22.

13. Did Jacob’s sons deceive him? Genesis 37:29-33.
14. How did the loss of Joseph affect Jacob? Genesis 37:34-35.
Note: The children of Israel deceived him in almost the same way he did his father when he stole Esau’s blessing. This emphasizes the need to sow good seed, for we still reap what we sow even if we repent.
15. What happened to Joseph? Genesis 37:36.
