Preview: This lesson seeks to define our duties as citizens of man, and of God, and how they interact together.


Scripture Reading: Romans 13:1-14.

Memory Verse: Titus 3:1.

1. Of what eternal country are we citizens as Christians? Hebrews 12:1-3 & Ephesians 3:20-21.
2. Can we also be citizens of a natural country? Acts 21:39.
3. What obligations do we owe our leaders? Titus 3:1 & I Peter 2:13-17.
4. Who has ordained that there be civic leaders? Romans 13:1-2.
5. What is a major function of civic rulers? I Peter 2:14 & I Timothy 2:1-2.
6. Need we fear authority if we do right? Romans 13:3-4.
7. What should be our position if obedience to civil rule conflicts with our obedience to God? Mark 12:13-17 & Acts 5:27-29.
8. Can we serve a country with honor even if we are not citizens? Jeremiah 29:7, Daniel 2:48-49, Daniel 6:1-3, & Genesis 41:37-44.
9. Did Apostle Paul use his Roman citizenship to his advantage? Acts 16:35-40, Acts 22:24-29 & Acts 25:9-12.
10. Would Matthew 5:13 be relevant to good citizenship?
