Preview: Reproof is criticism for a fault; rebuke. As Christians, we should be open to hearing of our own faults so that we may fix them and get on with God’s work.
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 1:20-33.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 15:10.
1. What will God give us if we heed His reproof? Proverbs 1:23.
2. What is promised to those who will not listen to God’s reproof and correction? Proverbs 1:26-32.
3. Is there a connection between wisdom and reproof? Proverbs 15:5.
Note: In this text wisdom is the ability to see life and ourselves as God sees them.
4. Does God have a direct means of pointing out our insufficiency, faults, failures, etc? Proverbs 6:23.
5. Does He use indirect means such as our family the pastor and/or our brethren? Judges 14:1-4, II Samuel 12:1-14 & Proverbs 30:17.
6. Why do some refuse reproof? Proverbs 1:22-25.
