Preview: From the beginning certain rules were made and broken.
Scripture Reading: Genesis 3:1-15.
Memory Verse: Genesis 3:3.
1. Where did God place man after He created him? Genesis 2:8.
2. What description of the garden do we find in the Scriptures? Genesis 2:9.
3. How was the garden watered? Genesis 2:10-14.
4. What responsibilities did man have in this garden? Genesis 2:15.
Note: God never intended for man to be idle. There was a duty for man in the Garden of Eden, and there is a duty for all mankind today.
5. How was the garden watered and refreshed before God made man? Genesis 2:6.
6. What was man permitted to enjoy? Genesis 2:16.
7. What restrictions, if any, did Adam and Eve have placed upon them? Genesis 2:17 (first part).
8. What warning was given to them? Genesis 2:17 (last part).
9. Who was first to disobey God’s command? Genesis 3:6.
10. What creature did the Devil use when he tempted them? Genesis 3:1-4.
Note: Adam and Eve yielded to the Devil’s temptation. The adversary is still in the tempting business today. He is offering many priceless things to the human family. We need the Spirit of God to help us resist, rather than accept his bargains.
11. What promise did the deceiver make to the first man and his wife? Genesis 3:5.
12. Were they disappointed after they had transgressed? Genesis 3:7.
Note: The deceiver never tells the full truth when he talks with mankind. He is a liar and the father of lies. He disappointed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Those who accept his doctrine today are sure to be disappointed in the Day of Judgment.
