11. Does the Catholic Church claim they have changed the Sabbath day? Discuss.
Answer: “Had she not had such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her. She could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day; a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.” A doctrinal Catechism, by Stephen Geenan, page 174, of Catholic Doctrine.
12. Does the Pope claim to be Lord of lords? Discuss.
Answer: “The Pope is the supreme judge of the law of the land. He is the vicar of Christ, who is not only a Priest forever, but also king of kings, and Lord of lords.” From the Civilta Catholica, March 18, 1877, quoted in “Vatican Council” by Leonard Woolsy Becon-American Tract Society edition, page 220. Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown as King of Heaven, and earth and purgatory. (Information) Promota Bibliotheca, Ferraris, Vol. 58, page 26, article “Papa” 9 the pope.
