Preview: This is a good time to read: “What Did Christ Abolish?” from our articles section. Christ died for our sins, and we need to be clear about what His mission here was.
Scripture Reading: Romans 7:7-12.
Memory Verse: Romans 7:12.

4. Did he think that God’s law was cruel to man or good to man? Discuss. James 2:12.
Note: The Ten Commandments never were cruel to man, and they are not against man today. Obedience to this law provides the best that this life has to offer man and gives man the assurance of something better in the life to come. Jesus Christ subjected Himself to this Law and magnified it.

12. What advice did He give us concerning God’s Law? Matthew 5:19.
Note: Let’s not be confused about what Christ did with the Laws. He abolished the law that was against man (the law of ordinances) and magnified the law that was good for man (the Ten Commandments).
