Preview: The end times period is critical to our Christian lives. We must know and recognize our responsibilities and shortcomings in order to overcome them and do God’s work in order to earn the reward.

Scripture Reading: Revelation 3:11-22.

Memory Verse: Revelation 3:13.

1. Who will enter New Jerusalem and wear the new name? Revelation 3:12.
2. To whom is the Laodicean message given? Revelation 3:14.
3. What will be the conditions of the Churches in the closing period, prior to Christ’s coming? Revelation 3:15.

Note: They will be in three states. They will be lukewarm, cold, or hot. Three conditions of spiritual life. Lukewarmness is a dangerous state to be in. Lukewarmness precedes death.
4. Will those that are lukewarm enter the Kingdom of God? Revelation 3:16.
5. How may we know those that are lukewarm?
Answer: They have lost their testimony. They have no burden for sinners. They are very critical. They have lost love for the brethren, they come seldom, and come late, and they are usually sick on the Sabbath Day. They are hanging on in a lukewarm condition. They will be spewed out.
6. What did Jesus tell us about why many would wax cold in the last days? Matthew 24:11-12.
7. What will be the reward for those who remain faithful? Matthew 24:13.
8. What do the lukewarm trust in and in what condition does the Lord say they are? Revelation 3:17.
Note: Their material riches will not help them reach God’s Kingdom. Many feel they don’t need God when they have abundance here on earth. They feel they are self-sufficient, but they don’t know that they are blind and naked. Knowing the Ten Commandments or the true baptism is not enough to cover their nakedness. They must keep up to date in the prophetic word.
9. What does the Lord counsel them to buy? Revelation 3:18.
10. What should we do with the truth? Proverbs 23:23.
11. Does the Lord want His people to get wisdom and understanding? Proverbs 4:5-7.
12. What is the value of wisdom and understanding? Proverbs 4:13.
13. What will the Lord do for them that are in a lukewarm condition before He spews them out? Revelation 3:19.
14. What else will the Lord do for the lukewarm? Revelation 3:20.
15. What will the Lord do for one that overcomes his lukewarmness? Revelation 3:21.
16. Is this message directed by the Spirit of God? Revelation 3:22.
Note: The question for individuals to ask is what class am I in? Are you with the hot or with the cold and full of excuses? Have you lost your first love or are you on fire for the Lord?
