Preview: A lesson on how faith affects our Christian lives.

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:1-19.

Memory Verse: Hebrews 3:12.

1. Discuss how and why faith worked in the lives of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah in the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse.
2. How would you say that Abraham and Sarah’s example affected the faith of their son, grandson, and great-grandson? Hebrews 11:20-22.
3. Why were Moses’ parents not afraid of the king’s command to kill all of the baby boys? Acts 7:17-20, Hebrews 11:23.
Note: Moses’ father and mother had no fear of the king because they knew that their God was greater than he. What are your fears today? Remember this same God is in control of the lives of all who trust Him.
4. How did Pharaoh’s daughter affect the life of Moses? Acts 7:21-23, Hebrews 11:24-29.
5. How did a lack of faith affect the people of Nazareth? Matthew 13:53-58.
Note: No wonder Paul said that without faith we cannot please or even come to God (Hebrews 11:6). Not only does leadership deprive us of His blessings, it affects the faith of our children.
6. How did Jesus rebuke His apostles for their lack of faith? Mark 16:9-14.
7. What was the message that He commanded them to preach? Mark 16:15-16, John 3:14-18.
8. Why was Israel cut off from God? How can they be reconciled? Romans 11:18-21, Romans 11:23-24.
9. What is required for those who wish to receive God and His Kingdom? Romans 10:13-17, John 3:33-36.
10. What is said about becoming a Kingdom heir without faith in Jehovah God and His Son Jesus Christ? Hebrews 3:10-13, Hebrews 3:18-19, Hebrews 4:1-2, Hebrews 4:11, Revelation 21:6-8.
Note: If we are to inherit the Kingdom we must know, trust, and obey the Lord. This can only be achieved through faith in Him. Let us stop looking to man and look to God who is the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2.
