Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26-31.

Memory Verse: Genesis 1:26.

1. What was God’s purpose for making man? Genesis 1:26.
2. In whose image are we created? Genesis 1:27.
3. How did God’s creation appear to Him? Genesis 1:31.
4. Where did God place Adam? What was he to do? Genesis 2:15.
5. What did God provide for Adam to eat? Genesis 2:16-17.
6. Who named the animals God made? Genesis 2:19-20.
7. What further interest did God take in Adam? Genesis 2:21-22.
8. Did Adam know where Eve came from? Genesis 2:23-24.
Note: Adam was created pure and sinless, and given great wisdom. He was able to take charge of what God had created.
9. Was man clothed or naked? Was he ashamed of what he was? Genesis 2:25.
10. When did man become ashamed? Genesis 3:6-7.
Note: Adam and Eve were ashamed to stand before God when they saw their spiritual and literal nakedness. They attempted to hide their nakedness with fig leaves, but they couldn’t hide from God.
11. Of whom were Adam and Eve ashamed and afraid? Genesis 3:8.
12. What did they do when God called them? Genesis 3:9-10.
Note: How sad it would be to find ourselves in such a condition (afraid of God’s voice). It is no wonder that sinners attempt to run from the Word of God.

Note: Adam and Eve tried to make themselves blameless, but God placed the blame where it belonged, and punished them accordingly.
16. Did God intend for man to remain in a shameful condition? What did he do so we may rest? Matthew 11:28 & John 3:16.
17. From what time was Jesus ordained to be our Redeemer? I Peter 1:19-20.
