Preview: This lesson delves into the miracle of Creation.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:1-14.

Memory Verse: Psalm 121:2.

Note: Many people are expressing their belief in the theory of evolution. In our lesson we want to acquaint ourselves with God’s Creation; when, what, and why God made what He made.

1. Do the Scriptures tell us that God created the universe? Genesis 1:1-2.
2. Do other Scriptures confirm this? Isaiah 37:16 & Jeremiah 10:12.
3. Discuss His creating of light and darkness, and explain why He made them. Genesis 1:3-5 & Isaiah 45:7.
4. Did God make the firmament? When and why? Genesis 1:6-8 & Psalm 19:1.
5. Did God make vegetable life? When and why? Genesis 1:11-13 & Genesis 1:30.
6. Why did God make the sun, moon, and stars? Genesis 1:14-19 & Psalm 104:19.
7. When did God make mammals and man? Why? Genesis 1:24-28 & Genesis 1:31.
8. Are there other Scriptures that confirm this? Genesis 2:7 & Genesis 5:1.
Note: We know that God created the universe, and that His plan was timed and carried out perfectly. We all should testify daily telling the world to fear God, and give glory to Him, and worship Him that made Heaven and earth and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
