Preview: Jesus’ coming was predicted long before it happened. This is the second part of a two-part lesson on this subject.

Scripture Reading: Acts 26:1-23.

Memory Verse: Acts 28:23.

1. Do we find from the foregoing Scriptures that Paul’s message of salvation came from the writings of Moses and the Prophets?
2. How did Andrew recognize Jesus? John 1:40-42, John 1:45.
3. What did Jesus say about Moses’ writings? John 5:39, John 5:46-47.
Note: Here were religious leaders who claimed to know the truth, even though they honored Moses more than they honored God, yet they could not understand His writings.
4. How did Jesus explain their blind condition? John 5:40-45.
Note: Sadly, we see this same condition today. The human race (as a whole) finds it more comfortable to look up to and honor the opinion of man than to seek Jesus for themselves. This is an indication that they do not have the love of God in them (John 5:42).
5. Did Moses foretell that Jesus would come as a Prophet? Deuteronomy 18:15 & Deuteronomy 18:17-19.
6. How did we know that He was referring to Jesus? Acts 3:19-23.
Note: All who will not trust and obey the voice of Jesus are blind and bound for destruction.
7. Did Paul declare that all of the prophets beginning with Samuel foretold the coming and the ministry of Jesus? Acts 3:24-26.
8. Did David foretell how the people and religious leaders would hate and reject Christ? Psalm 2:1-7.
9. How did Peter interpret David’s prophecy? Acts 4:24-30.
10. Did the religious leaders read about Christ every Sabbath and yet not know Him? Acts 13:24-29.
Note: Can we also be guilty of this same thing? Can we go to Church, study, sing, and pray and never even comprehend who Jesus really is?
