Preview: God’s Word has been given to us as a gift and a blueprint for the lives we need to be leading. It is our responsibility to know God’s Word and to practice and teach it to others throughout our lives.

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 28:1-9.

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 15:16.

1. Was it foretold in the Old Testament of the blessing of the Gospel? Deuteronomy 32:1-2.
2. How did Job esteem the Word of God? Job 23:12.
3. How effective is the Word of God? Jeremiah 23:29.
4. In what way did Paul emphasize the power of God’s Word? II Corinthians 10:4-5.
5. What weapon did Jesus use against Satan when He was tempted to do wrong? Matthew 4:1-4.
6. Did Jesus get angry and resort to mortal combat with Satan? Matthew 4:5-7.
7. How much did David receive from the study of God’s Word? Psalm 119:99-106.
Note: Satan’s weapon is fear. Christ’s weapon is faith. Satan knows much about the Scriptures because he quoted them to Jesus. His ministers are transformed as ministers of righteousness. They are good preachers like Satan himself, but they cannot live holy lives. Their father (the Devil) cannot live in a holy way either.
8. How did David describe the Word of God? Psalm 19:7-11.
9. How long will the Word of God endure? Matthew 5:18.
10. Is there healing virtue in the Word of God? Psalm 107:20.
11. In what way should the Word of God go to every nation? Matthew 28:19-20.
12. With what did Paul compare the Word of God? Hebrews 4:12.
13. What did Peter say about his present system of things? II Peter 3:7.
14. What may we look for if we live by God’s Word? II Peter 3:13.
Note: Paul admonished us to let the Word of God dwell in us richly. Jesus said the Word was our fountain for spirit and life. Let us practice what we read in God’s Holy Word. Many people who fail to read the Bible will see it as it is if we translate it into our everyday actions and character.
